Bungie’s Destiny Concept Art Is A Sight to Behold

I know these images are old but hey, I still can’t contain my excitement for Bungie’s Destiny and how this game will likely affect my decision to get either a PS4 or X Box One. For those of you who may not know, Bungie is the studio responsible for the first three games of the Halo Series. Halo was (and still is) one of the biggest franchises in recent memory and its exclusivity with the XBOX platform has resulted in the fattening of Microsoft’s coffers and its gaining a decent head start with last generation’s console wars.

What I do remember from playing Halo: Combat Evolved (PC) was the combat and awesome looking environments. I also vaguely remember thinking during that time that in terms of its environment, it would be pretty hard to top the game. Of course, I realized that I was naive since there were tons of other games that came after it that looked even better. For its time and platform though, it looked really awesome!

World Warrior Diaries #1: Evil Ryu Is A Beast!

With Ultra Street Fighter IV coming to Steam this August, I thought of dedicating myself to really mastering a couple of combos for either Ryu or Evil Ryu. Sadly, I’m still stuck with a gamepad  and keyboard as well as a POS internet connection. I could probably hit Training Mode but then again, there’s really no substitute for playing against human opponents. I’ve already spent 40 hours on the game, with a majority of this time either playing Arcade Mode or in Training Mode.

Would You Want To Catch These Pokemon?

Pokemon are cute, and in the words of a wise man from the Orient “Cute is Justice”! However, have you ever wondered how Pokemon would look like in real life? Over at DeviantArt.com, artist Gavin Mackey (SoupAndButter) re-imagines a number of Pokemon in a realistic (and nightmare inducing?) style. Don’t get me wrong, his re-imaginings are still cute (in their own, weird way) but if I were a Pokemon trainer and I encountered one in some forest or grassy plain I’d probably get my bike and ride it back to the nearest town!

Awesome Marvel War of Heroes Art from Aleksi Briclot

Thor Marvel War of Heroes

Marvel War of Heroes is mobile card battle game that we really couldn’t sink our teeth into because of its pay-to-win business model. However, if there’s one thing that we do like from the game it would have to be the art. Aleksi Briclot has been making concept art for a lot of games over the years. Chances are you’ve probably seen his work not just in video games but also in comics, and card games like Magic: The Gathering.

Below are a couple of his recent works.

Who’s Next? The Mortal Kombat X Official Announce Trailer is Live!

Great news for Mortal Kombat (and fighting game) fans! The Official Mortal Kombat Youtube Channel just outed the trailer for the next game in the gory and violent fighting game series. Mortal Kombat X will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and PC sometime next year.

The trailer features a fight between series mainstays Scorpion and Sub-Zero. If the trailer is indicative of the gameplay then there’s a good chance that the game might at least look good.

RPG Maker VX Ace for $1?!

Humble Weekly Bundle

We’ve talked about how the Humble Bundle is a great site to get games for cheap but it’s also a great site to get the tools that you need to make your own games. RPG Maker VX Ace is a game development tool that you can use to make your own RPGs and you can get it as well as some DLC and a couple of games made using it for as low as a dollar. Now, this program usually costs around $70 (more or less Php 3,000) so this is definitely a steal. For more details check  out the Humble Bundle Weekly Bundle page and also the RPG Maker VX Ace Steam store page.

Rumor Mill: Project Beast is From Software’s Possible PS4 Exclusive

It seems that there is a possible exclusive from From Software (Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls I and II) that’s going to be announced for the PS4 this coming E3.
